Ayer fue un día NEGRO para la historia de los videogames: Take Two (propietaria de Rockstar, la productora de GTA y Manhunt, entre otros “juguetes”) ha doblegado a los jueces que determinar el rating de un game en U.K. (Inglaterra). Hasta el 9/12 el juego estaba fuera de mercado. A partir de ayer (casualmente antes de las grandes ventas de Navidad) ya puede ser adquirido por mayores de 18 años, es decir, por casi todos.
Qué fue lo que hizo “ver la luz” a los críticos?. El videogame no continúa regodeándose en la violencia?.
Perdón por esta noticia tan negativa. Pero quizás esto nos ayuda a darnos cuenta que debemos “movernos” más. Los Gobiernos están totalmente doblegados frente al Kapital (euros, dólares o yuan es lo mismo). Es el momento de que cada pequeña comunidad (cada familia) sea protagonista forjando una nueva cultura.

London - Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive (NASD: TTWO) has won its appeal of the British Board of Film Classification’s (BBFC) refusal to provide a rating for its controversial game “Manhunt 2,” which effectively banned the violent game from sale in Britain, GamesIndustry.biz reported.
The BBFC’s Video Appeals Committee voted 4-3 in favor of Take-Two’s Rockstar Games, which developed “Manhunt 2.”
The BBFC may now either grant the game an “18+” rating, or else appeal the decision to the U.K. High Court.
“We won’t make a decision until we’ve seen the full printed judgement, which we’re expecting this week,” BBFC spokesperson Sue Clark told GamesIndustry.biz.
“We are pleased that the decision of the Video Appeals Committee has recognized that Manhunt 2 is well within the bounds established by other 18+ rated entertainment,” Rockstar Games said in a statement.
The company released “Manhunt 2″ with an “M” for Mature rating in the U.S. in October.
